Descriptive Analysis Workbook Rank Orders Graphs

What is it?

Rank Orders Graphs is one of the sheets in the Descriptive Analysis Workbook. Rating scores are converted to ranks for your panel and panelists. Each panelist rank for each sample is shown in a horizontal bar per sample along with the panel rank mean.

Why would I use it?

Visually review panel agreement in intensity ranking.

Setup options



To generate the Rank Orders Graphs sheet, under 2. Select Options , select Rank orders graph.



Analysis Overview


Samples are ordered based on mean panelist rank. Rank number provided for each sample by panelist.


Mean panelist rank ordered from highest rank to lowest.


    For multiple comparison analysis of the ranks, see the Panelist Rank Orders sheet.

    Example Conclusion

    For yellow colour, we see that Apple Juice 1 and 4 are consistently ranked 4th and 5th, respectively, by all panelists.
