Standard Test

Overview

Collect quantitative data on your products using the Standard test type. Use this test type to access a variety of question types to be used in profiling, difference from control or consumer tests. 

Question Compatibility

The  Standard  test type is compatible with the following question types:
  1. Category

  2. Choose

  3. Comment

  4. Rank/preference
Time Delay and Text & Images are compatible with all test types and question types.

Create the Test 

  1. On the Dashboard , in the  Folders  list on the left, select the folder where you wish to save your new Standard test .
    Use the right-click menu to create new sub-folders and to edit existing ones.

  2. Click  Create a new test  .

  3. Next to the Standard test , click  Use .

  4. Type the test name and specify the location for it (in case the folder selected in the first step was not the right one).

  5. Click  Create Test  .  
The  Test ID  displayed in the top right-hand corner is an important unique identifier useful for test searches. The Test ID can also be found in the Dashboard

Update the Test  

Please go through each test tab outlined below and make necessary updates. 

  1. Overview tab

  2. Samples & design tab: You will be able to update the number of  Sample sets and Samples , as well as the Design  used in this test type.   
    1. Sample Sets and Samples:
      1. Sample sets    - You can add up to 2, 000 sample sets in a Standard test .

      2. Samples   - You can add up to 160 samples in a Standard test

    2. Design Compatibility:
      1. Balanced design - Use a balanced design if you would like panelists to receive a balanced presentation of different sample set orders.

      2. Fixed design - Use a fixed design if you would like all panelists to see the same sample order.

Preview and Run the Test

When all test components have been added and configured, you may preview the test and then present it to your panelists.


Results Tab 

Report type and analysis available will depend on the question types and question setup in your test.

Click the Results tab to access and choose from the following analysis options: 
  • Graphs - Visual representation of the data.

  • Data - Raw data display.

  • Reports - Create new or view previously generated reports. The following reports are available .
    • Standard report - Detailed information about counts, means, Standard Deviation, the p-value, statistical decision, Multiple Comparison Test, and more.

    • Summary report - A list of all attributes included in the analysis and their means. This report provides a quick way of identifying whether there is a significant difference and if yes, in which attributes it lies.

    • PowerPoint report - Visual representation of the data in the PowerPoint Report file format.

    • Panelist summary report - The Panelist summary report lists individual panelist scores for each attribute and sample. The report is ideal for panel training purposes.

    • Raw data export - Choose from the Multivariate, Univariate, and Multivariate Columnar raw data export formats to suit your exporting needs.
